Hey there 2012!!

The start to 2012 didn't go quite as I'd hoped. Being ill since the day before Christmas eve was not planned nor was it dragging on into 2012. This is most probably the result of working flat out all year and then relaxing....in comes the dread flu.

However I think I can excuse this fact due to 2011 over all being a pretty fantastic year with lots of seeds planted for 2012. Today I spent an hour or so reading through 2011's blog posts....wow did all that really happen??? My high lights would have to be joining to raise funds for the Japan Earth Quake Appeal and the Riot Raffle, learning to make and decorate cupcakes (a little self indulgent), my SBS win from Theo Paphitis (oh and the fact he loved my Gingerbread men) and my first advert in Elle Magazine.

I have high hopes for 2012.....no resolutions just lots of wishes.

Happy New Year to you all, here's to a happy and prosperous forthcoming year. And that all your hopes and dreams are fulfilled.

xx

Hello 2011

What have you got in store for me this year??? Whatever it may be I'm ready for it. Christmas was a quiet one and New Year was a small event but very lovely all the same. Both me and C were spoilt rotten receiving some lovely gifts.

C gave me this awesome tray for my hand sewing projects, I did have one which sat on my lap but this meant that Nell (my cat) couldn't sit on my knee and when I moved, the thread and beads rolled around all over the place....well No more!! :D This tray is perfect.

C's parents bought me new fabric scissors and a couple of stitch rippers :) and I received a gorgeous hand made Mug Rug from Rachel and a very cute pocket mirror from Sarah with my initial in blue felt.....gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!! Thank you so much ladies.

My Mam and Ian bought me some embroidery threads on some very interesting bobbins which look far too pretty to unravel.....and I was very lucky indeed to get a Nikon D500 from my Dad. I cant wait to take some new product shots with it. Just need a bit of practice now! Best get the battery charged.

A year with bagladee

Looking back briefly at 2010 the year seemed to fly by so fast, exciting milestones and some not so pleasant times but all in all a pretty fab year!

January saw my 30th birthday which was planned to perfection by Chris and I moved into my studio. April I attended the BCTF for the first time and took my first trade orders. May saw the launch of my first 'How to' book and new and revamped website and blog. We had quite a hot summer which was unusual and in July I went part time at the day job, which completely changed the way my life was planned out......for the GOOD. We had a fantastic holiday in Madrid and I came back with the most gorgeous engagement ring :D October I met Russell Brand and Autumn really set in with a beautiful array of colours. November and December saw my first attempt at felt Christmas decorations and Christmas tutorials and a little feature on the Elle decor Spanish website.

So that was 2010.....I want to say a huge thank you to all the support, encouragement and comments from you all over the year it really means a lot to me and I always feel that blogland is the place I can come to and feel that I am among good friends.

Thank you so much, here's to a prosperous and fortuitous 2011 for us all.

2009 - 2010

With only a few hours until I set off to Andrea's house to see the New Year in I though it would be an apt time to re cap a little on the year.

There has been LOTS of fabric bought, new bags designed, swaps sent and received, gifts, lots of wip and new additions, a wedding dress, a missing/stolen clutch bag, the launch of my Mam's etsy shop, some knitting (started not yet finished!), a sale, some baking, give aways, custom orders galore, 1st blog birthday, a book was written, a magazine feature, hot summer (of all of a week), race for life, a trip to Paris, an injured Kitty, TLBG launched, website updates, redbull xfighters @ Battersea Power Station (Awesome!!), a trip to Edinburgh, craft fairs, bag parties and a completed Studio fresh for 2010.......

Phew!! I tell you I really dont know how I fit it all in!! The day job most definately takes its toll on me, but bagladee makes it all worth while, I've had a fantastic year.

Thank you to all who have read my blog, left comments, bought from my etsy/folksy/website, offered encouragement, given advice, inspired me (which you all do!) and for being such down right fab people to have met along the way.....my journey this year has been a most educational and enjoyable one. Here's to the next chapter of 2010!!
