A little treat

Normally I never make anything for myself, there are always things I'd like to make but then never actually get round to it. After having my weekly browse around the fabric shops I visit online I saw these fabrics and thought they would be perfect for making a quilted mat to sit underneath my sewing machine.

Lovely!!!! Remind me in 3 months time of this post when I still haven't gotten round to making it ;)

I will be back this week with some fun and easy Christmas tutorials, I don't want to spoil it but it involves using up felt and fabric scraps and of course has a festive theme. I have 4 planned so far and some giveaways too. So I hope you are all starting to feel a little Christmassy!!

Today my friend Andrea and I went to Rufford Christmas Gift fair, it was festive in the sense it was bitterly cold, there was a Christmas tree, lots of gift stalls and plenty of people milling round. But we made it more festive by having a Turkey and stuffing sandwich complete with cranberry sauce and I bought some Stollen to bring home (yum!!).

  2. the fabric looks great, don't worry about finishing things, I've still got a lilac heart quilt/duvet cover to finish , from April 2009 oops :-)

  3. That fabric is great. I have a little stash of beads to make something for myself but haven't got there yet. I get them out and look at them, then they go back in the drawer!!

    Look forward to your tutorials.
