Crafty little....
.......thingies :D
The crafting mojo is back and its time to start re stocking my website and Etsy shop. So for starters here are some pieces cut out for some purses.
Its lovely to get back in the crafting saddle, although it was also good to have a rest over Christmas. I'm ready and raring to go now. And with the snowy weather still travelling over the UK, maybe I'll get to snuggle up under my blanket and sew.

4 days to go.
And the wretched lap top (the one I do all my photo's etc on) has decided that its going to take a complete wobbler and now Coreldraw and any other useful program is not working.......FAB!! :(
I was planning on showing you all some photos of the studio pre and post mess but I cant do anything with the photos....and are way too large to upload. Oh how I boo you computer.....I was feeling all festivey and now you have spoilt it! Arrrggggghh!!!!
What I can show you (trying to get back into the festive mood and not moaning) are these little felt flowers that I have made for some children's hats and mittens that my Mama has been making for a friend of hers. I tell you they are adorable (the hats not the children, well I wouldn't know about the children as I haven't met them, but I'm sure they are.....anyway I'm digressing!!) so small and cute, these will be perfect for them.
Mama if you're reading don't forget to take photos.....everyone in blogland would love to see them!! Wouldn't you???
It has snowed today, quite a lot, which I'm loving because Mama has lots at home and I was starting to feel home sick a little, I always enjoyed playing in the snow there. I have since found out that Nell does NOT like the snow, not one bit.....she was like a proper little madam, one foot in the snow, she made a funny noise and ran back indoors!! Not like Oli who refuses to come in as he chases every snow flake that falls to the ground. He's soooo funny.
Well I'm off to eat my Sunday lunch/tea, I will be back tomorrow, hopefully I will have fixed the computer, either that or I will have smashed it with my trusty little hammer!! ;)

Nights drawing in
Now that the dark nights are drawing in, its impossible for me to take any decent photos during the week. I have a pile of items waiting to be photographed, 3 bags to be listed, some gorgeous cards I bought, more of the paper bag swap I'm taking part in and a few more bits and bobs.
So here's some of what I was up to last weekend....some more flower brooches sewn together and waiting for brooch pins, labels and rhinestones.
And some more jazzy ones to replenish 'Stuffed Nonsense' which are now sewn together and waiting to be photographed.

Stitched 2
Today is a really wet and blustery day.....Autumn is definitely here. Good for staying in a sewing but not so good for taking photo's.
I also took these up North with me at the weekend to finish, different colours from last time....
And here they are all sewn together, I love putting the colour combinations together for these purses.
I'm planning on making some more of these soon so keep a weathered eye open for them in my shops (great little stocking fillers).

I had to go in yesterday to complete some system tasks. Which turned into a whole day wasted when I had so much sewing planned. Grrrrrrr!!
Today I am on a mission, I have Nicola's custom bag to complete (**Hi Nicola**) and some packaging to make......as well as some other bits but they can wait until the weekend.

Stitched
Do you remember these from this post?? Well here they are finished with a couple of additions, I'm really pleased at how they have turned out....simple but very pretty.
Since these are going to be the new design brooches there are some bargains to be had over here....as they've all been reduced to make room for these new little sparklers. (Why not pop to the guest book and leave me a little message.)

Following on from the progress in this post I finally got my little project finished this weekend.

Cats, cushions, shops and chairs!
The only thing crafty wise that happened this weekend was that I finished sewing together the flowers and petals for my cushion from this post. I'm quite pleased at how they turned out considering this was one those moments where I thought hmmmm I wonder what this would look like? Well now I know :D
I also managed to get the pieces cut out for the front and back so I'm hoping to get these sewn together sometime this week so that I can show you my finished cushion.
We decided to go out yesterday morning for a few hours, mainly to let Oliver settle down and get some rest but also to give us a rest from a very stressed out, angry kitty. So we got up early and headed off to B&Q, finally decided on which tiles we want for our bathroom and extension!! Its only took us 2 years to find some!! Bought a few bits and bobs for the bathroom (accessory stuff) and a palm sander for finishing off the beams in my lovely crafty space :)
Then we ventured off to Dwell to look at the chair and rocker that I would like for the loft too, had a sit in them and decided they were a big thumbs up. We made a quick stop off to Tesco where we bought some cakes to eat on the way then drove out to IKEA......now this was great!! I bought the little black table (in this post) and lots of super duper storage boxes to go inside the cupboards that Chris has built. I am one of those sad people who will revel in organising everything into place, I was even thinking of taking a couple of days off work to really get into it!! Ha ha. I also bought some more of the little spice jars that are fab for storing buttons etc and I got these very cool metal stands that will be perfect for displaying my bags at craft fairs.
We then headed back to get all the last bits out of the loft and swept the floors ready for the plasterer to come and give us a quote. By this point Oli was back to climbing the walls.
Before I wrote this post tonight I took these photos, I just had to show you how hacked off he is at having to stay in. And after his check up today, the bad news is that he has to stay in until Friday and also keep the lampshade on until then. I think I am going to need some ear plugs!!! He is not going to be a happy kitty at all.
