Where One would keep Ones pennies

I knew the second I saw these fabrics that I just had to get them, even though it meant breaking my 'No more fabric buying until August' rule I'd imposed on myself in March. Oooops never mind! :D

It was worth it!! Aren't these little purses just the cutest?

I was almost tempted to keep this one for myself but decided I would share them with you instead :)

£18 (incl p+p) and there are only 1 of each so be quick.

I think I've now become completely obsessed with the Union Jack, first I made a felt pin cushion (photos to come) then I started cutting out pieces for a small cushion and then a large one....still yet to be sewn.

I've found myself being drawn to making just one off pieces. My most favourite items at the moment being the fabric storage boxes. I plan on making some more so watch this space :D

A right Royal garden party

I so hope that this glorious weather lasts through to the Jubilee bank holiday weekend. Wouldn't it be lovely to celebrate with her Royal Majesty with a little garden party and BBQ? Lets all keep our fingers crossed.

I decided to join in with the Jubilee themed crafts and have made these patriotic beauties.

Day 1 & 2

Day 2 over, another good day with lots of visitors. 2 New shops to stock. A long side the Bridal range on my stand I also have these cute new design purses.

Will be adding these to the websie once I return from the show.

We've arrived

At long last we're settled in at the hotel after quite a long day. The stand is all set up with just the bags to add in the morning. I've already managed to catch up with a few familiar faces and plan on having a good old mooch around first thing in the morning.

In addition to lots of new clutches I will be showcasing these gorgeous bags for my new Bridal range, available will be a large clutch, a mini clutch (not pictured) and this gorgeous little purse, perfect for little bridesmaids.

Now its time for a good meal (from the pub next door) a couple of well earned drinks then an early'ish night ready for the first day of the show tomorrow. If you're coming along to BCTF please come by stand 249 and say Hello. I will try and post some pictures of my stand tomorrow.

Disgusting!!!

No not these lovelies....definitely not. Today I had to get a grip of myself and help C empty and demolish the shed. It was here when we bought the house, its old and smelly and full of spiders and other creepy crawlies. I don't have a phobia of these things, they just make me physically sick. I am pleased to say that I lasted the whole of the afternoon without complaining and squealing too much. Its quite some time since I helped out with the house renovations as I've just been so busy with bagladee. So I've taken the opportunity this week to 'do my bit'.

So that's the garage sorted and tidy, shed emptied and demolished.....next is to tackle the giant weeds in the front garden before we start moving the top soil around in the back garden.

Now I couldn't very well write a boring post about chores without popping some pretty photos in. These were taken before Bath, pre-framing session. Some (but not all) are now listed on my website here.

A little treat

I thought it was only fair that with me spending so much time sewing and not showing much that I needed to give you a little sneaky peek at what I've been doing. These new metal framed purses or 'Mini bags' as I like to call them are adorable and only 9cm x 10cm. I have made 5 for the show but they will be added to my website soon.

Do you remember the 'betty bag' fabric, well she is now a saddle bag with an adjustable strap. Sorry for not showing the whole bag but I needed to keep something a surprise for the show. I have to say I love this bag and will most definitely be making one for myself. And I couldn't resist adding a little bling :D

Thank you for all the good luck messages, I am feeling considerably calmer now. Just the packing and organising to do......oh yeah and the dreaded 'Press Release' to write :o/ Eeeeek!

Working on...

...some felt purses and a huge order. Its certainly keeping me busy and out of mischief ;) I think I'm having withdrawal symptoms from not being able to blog read. Cant wait to sit down with a cuppa and find out what you've all been up too.

Crafty little....

.......thingies :D

The crafting mojo is back and its time to start re stocking my website and Etsy shop. So for starters here are some pieces cut out for some purses.

Its lovely to get back in the crafting saddle, although it was also good to have a rest over Christmas. I'm ready and raring to go now. And with the snowy weather still travelling over the UK, maybe I'll get to snuggle up under my blanket and sew.

15 days to go.....

.....and I'm totally unorganised (surprise, surprise). There are still gifts to buy, things to sort, decorations to dress.

One thing I have managed to get sorted is the Christmas tree, bought and dressed last night. And very festive it looks too :D Now its starting to feel Christmassy.

I have a trip up north planned for this weekend as my Mama is having a bagladee party. Then its time for a sewing break me thinks. And since its my 30th in January I'm planning on having the month off.

I have a few custom orders to fininsh this week and really need to start thinking about getting Christmas started.....and get some cards.

Stitched 2

Today is a really wet and blustery day.....Autumn is definitely here. Good for staying in a sewing but not so good for taking photo's.

I also took these up North with me at the weekend to finish, different colours from last time....

And here they are all sewn together, I love putting the colour combinations together for these purses.

I'm planning on making some more of these soon so keep a weathered eye open for them in my shops (great little stocking fillers).

Yesterday didn't go quite as planned, even though I was to be off this week (factory shutdown to save money!) I had to go in yesterday to complete some system tasks. Which turned into a whole day wasted when I had so much sewing planned. Grrrrrrr!!

Today I am on a mission, I have Nicola's custom bag to complete (**Hi Nicola**) and some packaging to make......as well as some other bits but they can wait until the weekend.
